the match against Wagga Tigers in Round 16 scheduled to be played in Queanbeyan

Mark Webber a famous Tiger!
The Tigers Clubs Sports Patron is none other than Formula One Racing
Driver Mark Webber. Mark is the original Queanbeyan lad, one of many from
the City who has made it onto the world stage in their respective sport.
Mark has joined the powerful Williams Team for 2005 and has been impressive
in recent trials against the likes of world champion Michael Schumacher
and will feature prominently in the Australian Grand Prix later this year.
Mark forwarded the Tigers a letter of good luck from England last September
when the Club featured in all three Grand Finals of 2004 being
the Under 18, Reserve and 1st Grade matches.
His nephews John Murphy and Brendan Res both play for the Tigers being
members of the Under 18 Grade Grand Final team last year which lost narrowly
to the eventual undefeated Marist College team.
