Tigers Opening Match of Season 2005

The Tigers Club have created a Walk of Honour at the Margaret Donoghoe Sportsground which was officially opened and dedicated prior to the Tigers opening match of the season against the Wagga Tigers.

The Walk of Honour will display the achievements of its 200 1st Grade game players each one having a designated stand and plaque with a description of the individuals major achievements with the Club and AFL Canberra during their respective distinguished careers.

It was a Special Day for the Queanbeyan Tigers Club with the 2005 Season being dedicated to Michael Haddock who was tragically taken in a Christmas Eve car accident Michael being highly regarded as one of the Tigers most promising players.

In a private function on the morning of the Tigers clash with Wagga Tigers, members of the Haddock Family joined with Club Officials to dedicate the season to Mick and also to formally announce the Michael Haddock Walk of Honour

All three grades honour Mick this year with an inscription on each players jumper. Black arm bands were worn in the first round as a tribute to Our Friend better known as the lovable rogue within our group.
