MICHAEL GOISER – 300 CLUB GAMES.

Queanbeyan Tigers Veteran Michael Goiser will take the field against Weston Creek on Sunday in his beloved Tigers jumper for the 300th time this weekend and what better place to do that than on the Tigers home ground – the Margaret Donoghoe Sportsground.

A prominent Tigers Junior player he is one of the true stalwarts of AFL Canberra football having contributed 247 1st Grade games to Queanbeyan, obviously 53 Reserve Grade games plus being a Representative of Canberra Football on 20 occasions.

Along the way he has won the Tigers 1st Grade Best and Fairest (1995), Captained the team during the period 1996 to 1999, played in eight 1st Grade Grand Finals for Premierships in 1988, 1989, 1998, 1999 and 2000 plus played in two Reserve Grade Grand Finals being that teams Coach on those occasions. He was selected in the ACT Team of the Year in 1998.

Of the 247 First Grade games, Michael Goiser rarely ventured from his dominant position of full back but in recent times has been positioned in the forward line of the Tigers Reserve Grade team and last season capped off a magnificent year winning the Leagues Goalkicking with 56 goals.

Michael Goiser is one of the true champions of AFL football in the ACT Region. He is a member of the Tigers 100 Club, been inducted into the Tigers Wall of Fame, is a Life Member and a Member of the AFL Canberra 200 Club.
