Queanbeyan Tigers
Reunion of the 1985 Premiership First and Reserve Grade teams.

In 1985, the Tigers broke a 42 year drought when they posted victories in both grades against Ainslie (1st Grade) and Reserves (Manuka Weston). Although combining with Acton in the fifties to win three premierships, the Tigers ¿ as their own identity ¿ had last won a senior grade premiership in 1941.

This year celebrates twenty years since those wonderful scenes at Football Park and to commemorate the victories, a 20 year reunion will be held on Saturday August 27 coinciding with our 100 Club Dinner. Already legends of that team including Peter Scully, Butch Hemming and Squizzy Taylor have made enquiries as to the function. Brian Quade was the Coach of the 1st Grade team along with Snapper Briant as Reserve Grade Coach. Chairman of Selectors was Bob Gibbs, Team Manager Noel Miller (he remains in that position today) and current Administrators / Team Officials Gary Bullivant, Michael Kennedy, Tony Wynd, Mark Thompson, Doug Daniel, Roger Cuschieri, George Stevens, Col Imrie, Ron Fowlie and Robert Anderson are still active in todayÍs organisation.
