TIGERS NEWS - JUNE 29TH, 2005
Karaoke at the Tigers Club
Artic Park better known as Greenway Oval featured our three senior grade
teams up against the Tuggeranong Hawks last Saturday. It was a cold afternoon
of entertainment made warm with the knowledge of success for the 1st and
Reserve Grade teams and an unexpected draw for the Under 18s.
On Saturday evening the Tigers Licensed Club featured our players in
other activities this time playing to the tune of some of their
favourite entertainers in an evening of karaoke.
In addition, and prior to those activities the Club acknowledged the
magnificent effort of current Reserve Grade Coach Michael Goiser who played
his 300th Club match for the organisation the week before against Weston
Creek.
Many of the players / partners dressed for the occasion in what was a
great night of fun, enjoyed by all in attendance. Luke Ellis gained enormous
applause from the audience as he performed songs from ChrisX whilst the
Jackson Five and the Beatles also gained favourable comment. Fred Flintstone
(Andrew Lieschke) liked the mike so much he nearly swallowed it and the
old firm of abnormals performed creditably.
Attached are some of the characters in attendance performing their favourite
songs.
