Tigers Black and Gold Presentation Night

Our Night of the Year

250 people attended the Tigers Presentation Night last Saturday evening (October 8) during which awards were presented to individuals of all three grades that represented the Tigers in Season 2006

It was a tremendous gathering of players / officials and parents - many of which travelled interstate for the function. This included the parents of Mitch Daniher – Marie and Peter, Andrew Lieschkes parents Rod and Rhonda and his 92 year grandmother Linda, Terry and Sue Longmore – who are responsible for Jordan (and three other brothers !!!!!), Ellen Davis mother of Joshua, the wonderful mum of Coach Armstrong – Kay along with her weekly travelling companions John and June Davis – parents of Chris. They in addition to Chris and Tony Balding being the parents of Trent whose younger – (but very similar looking brother) Sam was also in attendance.

There is certainly a strong Riverina connection in that group of people.

Master of Ceremonies and former legendary Tigers Club player Robert Anderson performed his duties extraordinarily well considering his last minute acceptance to be the face of the Tigers Awards Night.

A couple of other familiar faces in the crowd included current Sydney Swans Reserves Premiership player Ryan Quade along with former Tigers Premiership player Bill Neely and wife Debbie.  It’s a family affair at the Tigers Club, Debbie being the sister of senior grade players Neil and Ross Irwin and niece to Ando.

What a night !

The first two awards were presented by Chairman of Football Bob Gibbs who recognised Michael Rutherford for his efforts of operating the scoreboard each week presenting him with the Tigers Spirit Award.
