Tigers Club Sponsor Golfing Prospect

Former Queanbeyan Tigers associate Mitch Rose is progressing through the ranks of the golfing world.

Mitch had a promising career in Golf as well as AFL and chose kicking a red ball instead of hitting a white ball in the late nineties when chosen to be part of the NSW / ACT RAMS squad of players which participated in the TAC Cup ¿ a competition for elite Under 18 Grade AFL players from Victoria, NSW andTasmania.

Mitch became a relocated RAMS player from Wagga and signed with the Queanbeyan Tigers. This enabled him to be eligible to play for his adopted Club when not being a participant of the RAMS team.

Unfortunately injuries prevented this talented individual reaching the levels expected of him in AFL circles and three years ago he returned to stroking the little white ball gaining an apprenticeship at the Catalina Golf Club at BatemansBay.

He has since joined a Sydneybased Golf Club in a similar position and now tours the PGA Trainee Golf circle being recently selected as Captain of this organisation.

Mitch formed a strong association with many people in Queanbeyan, being employed by the Tigers Licensed Club for many years along with being a part time Development Officer of the Football Club - conducting clinics in schools and assisting with the Auskick programs.

As part of the Tigers Clubs commitment to the community and individuals striving for success in their respective sports, the Tigers Licensed Club became a Major Sponsor of Mitch Rose and currently assists him both financially and by way of providing merchandise in his endeavours to progress into the professional golfing world.
