ActewAGL kicks a three year goal with Queanbeyan Tigers

On Wednesday 8 March ActewAGL Chief Executive Officer John Mackay, along with Queanbeyan Tigers Chairman Bob Gibbs announced a deal that will see ActewAGL continue as a Major Sponsor of the Club for the next three years.

This deal compliments a range of sponsorships held by ActewAGL in Queanbeyan, including the Queanbeyan Racing Club, ActewAGL and TransACT Queanbeyan Show, Queanbeyan Special Needs Group, ACT Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group, QBN FM 96.7 and the Queanbeyan Business Council.

Mr Gibbs said, "The support given by ActewAGL over the past eight years has been outstanding. The continuation of this partnership will aid our endeavours to provide sporting opportunities to the young people of Queanbeyan and to promote a healthy lifestyle to club members."

We see this assistance as not only valuable to the junior and senior Tiger Organisations, but also an important contribution to the Queanbeyan community as a whole."

Mr Mackay said, "As an active member of the community, ActewAGL proudly supports a number of sporting teams, along with charities, events, not-for-profit organisations and community groups."

"ActewAGL are proud to be supporters of the Queanbeyan Tigers Football Club and wish all teams the best of luck for the AFL Canberra 2006 season."

ActewAGL become one of the Tigers longest serving major sponsors of the Club along with Tobin Brothers, Coca Cola, CUB, Queanbeyan Age, Canberra Trophy Centre and Morrisons Newsagency.
