TIGERS NEWS October 2006
Sam Quade amongst others
Former Queanbeyan Tigers player Sam Quade has returned to Australia
in January after two years overseas and is now based in Tasmania with
English company Betfair.
Sam is the eldest son of Lyn and Brian Quade and gained vast experience
and knowledge in the gaming industry prior to and during his period
overseas.
Although Sam has not played for the Tigers since 1997, he has been
a keen follower of the Club when living in Melbourne and London and
also that of his younger brother Ryan, a prominent player of the Tigers
1st grade team who was also a member of the Swans Reserve Grade Premiership
team of 2005.
Betfair is world wide leader in online and a major competitor for
the Australian TAB industry.
Betfair is currently restricted to Tasmania. A move to have the company
based on the mainland has obviously gained the support of one influential
Australian Business person as shown in this photo with James Packer
a keen observer of Sam online at work. PBL, Packers Company brought
a 50% share in Betfair Australia prior to the establishment of the
branch in Tasmania.
No doubt Sam would be only to willing to set up any person (especially
any Tiger followers / players) who want to flutter online. For those
Collingwood supporters you can even bet on losing !!!!!!!!!!!

of Betfair Ed Wray.
