Inspirational Queanbeyan Tigers Full Forward James Kavanagh will play his 200th League game on Sunday 14 July when the Tigers meet Belconnen Magpies in the Round 17 NEAFL Eastern Conference clash.
It will be a special day for the Club during which they will be promoting the Vietnam Veterans and Veterans Foundation by way a playing uniform designed around the services camouflage pattern.
In addition to “Kavs” milestone Andrew Swan and Steve Joliffe both celebrate 50 1st Grade achievements on the day.

But the man of the moment will be the infectious James Kavanagh (Kav) who signed with the Tigers in 2007 from Ainslie, joining a number of others who had previously crossed the border from the Tricolours. “Kav” played 89 games for Ainslie before joining the Tigers and has since racked up 110 for Queanbeyan including three grand finals for premiership victory in the historic 2012 NEAL Eastern Conference title.
Season 2013 hasn’t been that kind with a persistent ankle injury that has seen him absent during the past ten weeks and including the FOXTEL Cup match against Werribee Tigers played at Etihad Stadium.

The 200 Game achievement rates him among the best in the League and he joins other Queanbeyan Tigers players who have been admitted to the prestigious 200 League game category in Alan Muir, Col Wheeler, Harold Williams, James Black, Dennis Hopkins, Geoff Harold, Mark Briant, Peter Harrington, Tony Wynd, Doug Daniel, Robert Anderson, George Stevens, Michael Goiser, Steve Vizy, Mark Armstrong, Jason Gilbert, Chris Davis and most recently Tigers current Captain Ryan Quade.
The Club congratulates all three milestone achievement players for the Round 17 clash but in particular “Kav” on this occasion for this wonderful milestone for one of the most popular players ever to have donned the mighty black and gold.
