Kaine Stevens will be looking to continue his excellent form and lead the Tigers to victory on Sunday.
Swans Name 14 Listed Players – two to be omitted.
The Sydney Swans have named 14 listed players for Sundays NEAFL Eastern Conference Grand Final to be played on Sunday at Manuka Oval.
According to the Rules and Regulations of the NEAFL, they can only play 12 listed players so there is plenty of speculation as to who will be omitted before the clash against the Queanbeyan Tigers.
Missing from the second semi final Swans team that accounted for the Tigers by 50 points is full forward Mitch Morton and ruck / come forward line player Andrejs Everett – the later having over qualified now that the Swans senior grade team is not playing on the same weekend.
The Tigers have named a relatively unchanged line-up from last weeks preliminary final side that defeated Eastlake but are yet to finalise the actual team to take the field due to a couple of injury concerns.
Fitness tests will be conducted on two player’s tomorrow morning (Saturday) prior to the Tigers having a relaxing swim followed by breakfast.
Coming into the squad is prolific goal scorer Daniel Campbell, 100 1st Grade Game player Matt Liddle and Division 1 Captain Beau Watts (who has had an outstanding season in 2012 having spent plenty of time in the NEAFL team).
Presentation of the Tigers Grand Final playing jumpers was made after training on Thursday evening by former legendary Coach Brian Quade who spoke highly of the teams’ 2012 performance.
A DVD highlighting previous legendary players spanning the 88 year history of the Club (along with game day highlights of 2012) complimented what has been an exciting week at Dairy Farmers Park.
Supporters are requested to congregate in the Menzies Stand at Manuka Oval on Sunday.
The Tigers are calling out to all of their supporters to come out to Manuka this Sunday and cheer on the Seniors.
