2014 NEAFL Competition.

The NEAFL Competition for 2014 has been decided following a Conference attended by all clubs from the Northern and Eastern Competitions held on the Gold Coast late October.

As expected the two competitions will be combined into one competition with the following teams participating:

Aspley, Ainslie, Belconnen, Brisbane Lions Reserves, Eastlake, Gold Coast Suns Reserves, GWS Giants Reserves, Hills Eagles, Northern Territory Thunder, Queanbeyan, Redlands, Sydney University, Southport and Sydney Swans Reserves.

Teams no longer competing in the competition are Tuggeranong, Mt Gravatt, Broadbeach, Labrador and Morningside.

The NEAFL Competition will commence over the weekend of 29 / 30 March with the Tigers enjoying the bye in the first round.  A first up match with Sydney University at Dairy Farmers Park on Saturday 5 April will provide an excellent opportunity for the Tigers to reverse the two losses suffered at the hands of the students in 2013.

The final draw is expected to be released on Monday 9 December.

The structure for the AFL Canberra competition(s),  (Div 1, 2 ,3 and Under 18 Grade Rising Stars and Ladies) are expected to be announced prior to Christmas but will include addition teams in the Division 1 competition.   Name changes for these competitions will also be announced.

90 Years Young

The Tigers Club will be celebrating 90 Years in 2014 with a number of activities to commemorate this milestone.   Full details will be released in the New Year but a 90 Year Reunion is high on the agenda targeting many of the Clubs former Premiership / Grand Final players during this time.
