Players such as Jarrod Atkinson have helped with the Tiger Turnaround!

TOP OF THE TABLE CLASH

This time last year the Tigers were counting their season knowing they would miss the NEAFL (formerly AFL Canberra) finals for only the third time in 29 years. Twelve months on, the change has been remarkable and this Saturday at Manuka Oval the test will be against Eastlake who share the competition lead but are second on percentage.

The Tigers now have all before them in the lead up to the finals.

The Tigers NEAFL team has another hard month ahead with two games against Eastlake on either side of two interstate trips – one being against cross conference team Broadbeach on the Gold Coast on 28 July, the other against Sydney Uni the following week in Sydney.

Saturdays match is all important for a top two position and with the possible inclusion of Jeremy Kirkwood, Jarrod Atkinson and Mitch Daniher, spirits should be high for another strong performance in the match of the round which will be streamed LIVE on the NEAFL website and through the QBN FM 96.7 broadcast.

The Tigers AFL Canberra Division 1 team has the bye while the Under 18 Grade teams match against Marist has been postponed until Thursday 16 August – venue to be advised. The Ladies Tigerettes play ANU on Saturday at ANU South Oval at 10.00am
