Adrian Pavese appointed as new Tigers GM

Adrian Pavese, a face well known to the Tigers organisation, will be returning to the black and gold as new General Manager of Football Operations.

In making the appointment Tigers Chairman Ron Fowlie commented on Adrian’s connections to the Club.

“Adrian is a former Tigers Development Manager, Reserve Grade premiership coach, Senior Assistant coach in the 2012 NEAFL premiership year and Tigers First Grade coach in his own right.

“He also has coaching experience in both the Ovens and Murray League and Riverina Football League, but more importantly has a great deal of football administration experience,” Fowlie said.

Exiting General Manager Michael Goiser said he was pleased with the appointment.

“Having someone who knows the Tigers organisation so well, is familiar with our history and traditions, and knows our culture and our people, will make the transition much easier.

“It gives me great peace of mind knowing that the work I’ve done over the past three years in steadying the ship so to speak and re-establishing the Tigers in the AFL Canberra competition after our withdrawal from the NEAFL will continue and flourish under a new GM who has strong ties to the Club. I wish Pav the best of luck and success,” Goiser said.

Chairman Fowlie said that Adrian is an excellent replacement for Michael Goiser with his passion and enthusiasm sure to encapsulate the current crop of outstanding locally based players and the club’s community based culture.

“I welcome Pav back on board along with wife Annette and children Josh and Makayla, all of whom are passionate Tiger followers.

“In doing so I sincerely thank Gois for his outstanding leadership and integrity during a difficult, but highly successful period for the organisation. I also thank Gois’ wife Kylie and family for their patience and understanding during his three year term,” Fowlie concluded.

Adrian will commence in the role in October.
