The Queanbeyan Tigers are seeking applicants for the position of Senior Women’s Coach for season 2017.
In just a few short years the Tigers Women’s team – known as the Tigerettes – has grown from a fledgling team to a regular finals contender.
Although only existing since 2010, the rise of the team has been rapid. In just their fourth year they picked up the first of what became three Division 2 premierships in a row (2013, 2014, 2015).
In 2016 the Tigerettes reached Division 1 finals, succumbing to the eventual premiers by just three points in the semi final.
With three-time premiership coach Robert Anderson stepping down, but staying on board as a specialist coach, the Tigers are seeking applications for a new senior coach of the Women’s team.
The team includes the recently drafted Ella Ross (drafted to GWS Giants for the inaugural national women’s league season in 2017) and numerous regular ACT representative players, mixed with enthusiastic novices.
We are seeking a coach who can foster basic skill development and game sense as well as provide an environment to take the girls to the next level – especially those who are more advanced in their development at this stage and have aspirations to reach the national women’s league.
Ideally you would have previous coaching experience and current qualifications (Level 1 or higher), or be willing to obtain Level 1.
Applicants will be assessed against the following criteria:
Leadership
Technical Ability
Passion
Communication
Teaching Ability
Applications outlining experience, coaching philosophy and touching on each of the above criteria can be directed to: General Manager Football Operations Queanbeyan Tigers Australian Football Club Email: general.manager@tigersclub.com.au
