Armstrong Academy Starts Up for 2012/13

The Tigers Armstrong Academy has commenced with 35 lads being involved in this years program under the guidance of NEAFL Assistant Coach(s) Josh Bryce and Paul James along with Specialist Coach(s) Dave Corcoran, Peter Jensen, Marcus Broers, Paul Campbell and Kade Klemke.

The first session was conducted on November 5 and will continue each Monday evening leading up to Christmas and then after from January through to March.

The main emphasise of the Academy will be on skill and fitness along with game sense being of high priority.

Sessions involving proper behaviour on and off the field, alcohol and drug discussions, leading a healthy lifestyle, effects of social media and attitudes towards women are all part of the programs that will be conducted.

The Academy is named after one of the all time great players of AFL Canberra and the Tigers Club Mark Armstrong who is expected to attend a number of the sessions.

The Program will run from on Monday Nights 5pm to 6pm at Dairy Farmers Park up until the 10th of December.
