At Last – The Tigers Renovations Commence.

By the opening of the 2014 NEAFL Season the Tigers will boast tremendous facilities with an upgrade to most areas of the change rooms and facilities in the grandstand at Dairy Farmers Park.

Funded by way of a grants from the Queanbeyan City Council and AFL NSW / ACT Facilities Development – (in addition to revenue provided by both the Tigers Junior and Senior organisations)  – the facilities upgrade will include the following:

  1. Provision of new toilets for the Ladies and Disabled.

  2. New Change room facilities for the Umpires

  3. Upgrade of Canteen which will double in size

  4. Upgrade of home team change rooms and shower facilities

  5. New change rooms for visiting teams.

The work is expected to take until early March – the Project Managers are former Tiger players Peter Bowyer and Dennis Quade from BLOC Constructions.

A considerable amount of voluntary assistance has been provided by many associates of the Tigers Club during the early stages.

Queanbeyan City Council will also undertake an upgrade of the ground surface with $60,000 being allocated for improvements over the summer period.
