Big Boost for the Tigers!


AFL Network Southern Cross TEN has come on board as a Major Corporate Sponsor of the Tigers Club for 2010 and 2011.

Announcing the arrangement Southern Cross TEN Group General Manager Tim Davenport believes the Sponsorship of a local AFL Canberra Club will assist promote the local competition throughout the regional areas of NSW through their associated regional stations.

Southern Cross Media are one of the major distributors of AFL games in Australia and have welcomed the opportunity to promote a local AFL Canberra Club throughout their vast network in Canberra and NSW.

With the AFL floating the idea of a new competition in 2010 encompassing Clubs from the ACT, NSW, Queensland and Northern Territory, the new sponsorship arrangement couldn’t come at a better time for the Tigers Club. Promotion of the Club through the network will have enormous advantages as the club promotes and develops its brand in anticipation of a new competition.

Marketing Manager of Southern Cross Media Joel Feuerherdt believes the Club will be able to attract other sponsorship arrangements by way of its involvement with the television network.

Although the value of the sponsorship arrangement has not been released General Manager of the Tigers Club Ron Fowlie has indicated it is substantial and will be invaluable to the ongoing costs of managing a successful sporting organisation.
