Bryce will be a huge loss to the Tigers title defence !
The Tigers back to back premiership hopes took a battering last week with key defender and Assistant Coach Josh Bryce being advised he will miss the entire 2013 season after damaging a knee at training.
“Brycey” will undergo a full knee reconstruction at the end of the month by surgeons in Melbourne. The tough defender was inspirational throughout the premiership year and will be sorely missed.
Andrew Swan – another key defender will also miss the commencement of the new season – after major knee surgery during the off season. He injured a knee in the last round of 2012. The injury subsequently kept him out of the finals series and the premiership team.
The backline will have a whole new look in 2013 with other key defenders being absent including Alex Overs who has joined Shepparton in Victoria.
Even though fullback Roy Jaques announced his retirement at the end of last year, the phones have been running hot in an effort to entice him to return based on the backline losses the Club has suffered over the off season.

New players for the Tigers – Beau Walker (left) and Ben Fulford.
On a positive note the Club has signed a further two players from the Albury district who have moved to the area for University studies and cricket opportunities.
Beau Walker joins the Club from Howlong of the Hume League as a flanker come goal kicking forward who won his Clubs Best and Fairest in 2012 as well as being runner up in the Leagues Best and Fairest.
Down the road from Howlong, Ben Fulford was playing a key forward line role for North Albury of the Ovens and Murray League.
Walker has moved to the area to commence studies at Canberra University while Fulford has been targeted to play with the ACT Comets Under 19 Grade team.
Both players are 18 and will add to the ever growing list of young players at the Tigers Club. Walker has played at TAC Cup level with both the Murray Bushrangers and ACT NSW RAMS and has represented the Hume League.
