Conroy returns to the Tigers!

In a major coup for the Tigers, 2010 Best & Fairest and 2012 Premiership Player Toby Conroy will return to the club in 2018!

After playing with home club Leeton over the past two seasons that yielded a premiership this year, Conroy’s journey brings him back to Tiger Land where the 89 1st Grade Game veteran hopes to play a major mentoring role with the young tigers.

Conroy will take on a playing assistant role that will bring some valuable experience to the young and developing Tigers mid field.

“Coming back to the tigers was always something I wanted to do before my playing days were over” Conroy said

“Having helped develop the youngsters at Leeton over the past two years has really driven the coaching bug within me and while the body feels good and I can continue to play it seemed the perfect time to give Dave and the club a couple of more years” he added.

The lure of notching up his 100th game for the club was also a big factor in Conroy’s return. Coach Dave Corcoran was obviously over the moon with the signing,

“I’m absolutely rapt to have Toby back, our build with the young local players continues to grow momentum and with Toby’s inclusion adds that much needed experience” Corcoran said

“We lose a bit of leadership with Ryan Quade’s retirement but now adding Toby means we can continue to teach and develop our exciting young list” he added.

The club welcomes Toby and partner Kate back to the Tiger Family!
