Tigers Commence 2013 Campaign
The Queanbeyan Tigers have commenced the 2013 preseason with an annual gathering on the foreshore of Lake Burley Griffin in what is hoped to be a repeat of the 2012 season.
Under the watchful eye of conditioning Coach Robbie Thompson a group of approximately 40 players withstood the heat of 38 degrees for a first up session .
The players will train at Lake Burley Griffin each Monday evening (until notified) and each Tuesday and Thursday at Dairy Farmers Park from 6.00pm each week leading up to the commencement of trial games.
A player’s camp is being held over the weekend 16 / 17 February at Long Beach on the South Coast and for the first time includes members of the Tigerettes.

Trial games include participation in the Bateman’s Bay Sea Hawks Preseason Knockout Carnival over the weekend 2/3 March, games against North Shore on Saturday 9 March at Dairy Farmers Park and a final hit out against Tuggeranong Hawks on Thursday 14 March at DFP.
The Tigers first round clash against Ainslie on Sunday 24 March at DFP will see the unveiling of the Tigers NEAFL Premiership flag, unveiling of further plaques along the Michael Haddock Walk of Fame and hopefully the opening of renovations to the visitors change rooms and new amenities for the ladies and the disabled.
