Writer: QBN Tigers ClubQBN Tigers Club

The Queanbeyan Tigers 2010 Season ended last Friday evening with a gala presentation night held at Hotel Realm. Approximately 260 people attended. They witnessed the announcement of awards for all four grades plus special presentations to volunteers. The night culminated a tremendous season for the Tigers Organisation.

MC for the evening was Vice Chairman Joel Feuerherdt. The evening commenced with the Ladies team awards, followed by the Under 18 Grade, Special Awards, Reserve Grade, 1st Grade and then a tribute to outgoing Coach Mark Armstrong.

New Coach Rod O’Riley spoke in glowing terms of the Club he first joined in 1994 before having stints at both Richmond Tigers and Brisbane Lions. He rejoins the organisation full of confidence and announced further coaching appointments for 2011 of which will be released during the week.

A special tribute to outgoing Coach Mark Armstrong included a DVD presentation prepared by Clint Coddy. This wonderful tribute provided highlights of his playing career mixed with the emotion of winning games, being around his family (at home and at the footy) and most importantly his involvement with this organisation spanning 18 years.
