Senior Coaching Appointments Announced!


Coaching Appointments for 2013

The Tigers are moving forward with the finalisation of coaching appointments for all grades near complete with the recent signing of former Weston Creek Under Age grade Coach Marcus Broers.

• Under 18 Grade – Rising Stars

Broers will join the Tigers as Co Coach of the Tigers Under 18 Rising Stars team along with Peter Jensen. He is a welcome new face to the Tigers Club which has had a stable list of lower grade coaches for a number of years.

The Under 18 Grade will have (Broers at age 24) as a young “head” and an “older” one with Pete Jensen who has been an assistance Coach of this grade for a number of years.

Marcus Broers is also expected to don the black and gold after a number of years coaching the Weston Creek Wildcats Junior teams from Under 12’s through to Under 16’s snaring a couple of premierships along the way. This included last years Under 16 grade title.

He played 1st Grade football for the now defunct Weston Creek Senior Grade Club, his first game being at the tender age of 18. A strongly built lad he will be a welcome addition to the Clubs two senior grade teams. • AFL Canberra Division 1

The Clubs Under 18 Grade Coach of the past three seasons Paul Campbell has been elevated to the Tigers AFL Division 1 team replacing the teams long serving and highly successful triple premiership Coach Adrian Pavese who has accepted a position with Ovens and Murray Club Corowa Rutherglen.

• Tigerettes

The Tigerettes also have a couple of new faces at the helm with former Tigers Legend Robert Anderson taking up the reigns along side Paul Lyons.

They replace the Tigerettes inaugural Coach Dave Matthews who is expected to be announced as a match day assistant of a men’s team in coming weeks. Tigerettes Ladies Team Co Coaches: Robert Anderson and Paul Lyons Assistant Coaches: Peter Skinner and Dean Hall

• NEAFL

The Tigers are currently negotiating to appoint an Assistant Coach to the NEAFL team replacing Adrian Pavese who has held the position for the past three years.
