When comedian Damian Callinan brought his “Town Folk” show to Queanbeyan we thought we’d engage him for some specialist training for a group of our Tigerettes.

Town Folk brings together the talents of comedian Damian Callinan & film maker John Cheery. The show featured filmed segments, live on stage interviews, photographic re-enactments, local mystery investigations, stunts, quizzes and live sketches with ‘local players’. The show was built from scratch based on surveys filled in by locals, research by Damian and his crew John and Zilla, and by spending a few days in town to pull it all together.
Town Folk was an interactive, fun celebration of the colourful characters, humble heroes and laid back larrikins that make up the fabric of our town and what makes you community unique.
