Tigers Coaching Appointments take shape for 2011.

Senior Coach Rod O'Riley announcing his Coaching Staff for 2011 at the recent Presentation Night.

New Coach Rod O’Riley has been a busy man since his appointment in late August.

First on the agenda was establishing coaching appointments for 2011.

Firstly there was the announcement three weeks ago of former champion player Michael Goiser as Transitional Coach. “Gois” has over 300 Senior Grade games to his credit which is certain to benefit the younger playing group of the Tigers.

Most of the other appointments were announced by O’Riley at the Tigers presentation night. This included the return of former conditioning coach Todd Pulford as one of two Assistant Coaches. A previous record games holder at Ainslie Football Club, Todd joined the Tigers for the 2007 and 2008 seasons before taking on a Coaching position at Gungahlin Football Club for their inaugural year in the AFL Canberra Reserve Grade competition.

His appointment is very pleasing for the Tigers playing group who hold Todd in the highest esteem after his previous short stint with the Club.

Back to Back Reserve Grade Premiership Coach Adrian Pavese secures the other 1st Grade Assistant Coaches position as well as taking the Reserve Grade Team again as they chase a third premiership in a row.

Another former champion Tigers player Doug Daniel continues his involvement as a Specialist Coach who will also assist on match days.

Current Strength & Conditioning Coach Paul James has been reappointed but will also take on a role of a Specialist Coach. With his experience in the VFL as well as the Australian Defence Force Coach will be invaluable to the organisation.

Under 16 Division 1 Coach Steve West moves in to the Senior Grade club as a Match Day Assistant for the Reserve Grade team as does Scott Taylor who has been a stalwart with the Tigers Junior organisation and Under 18 Grade team. An Assistant Coach is yet to be named.

The Under 18 grade team will once again be coached by the very popular Paul Campbell with his assistant once again being Peter Jensen.

Dave Matthews has been reappointed as the ladies team coach after a hugely successful inaugural year in the competition.
