AFL Canberra Divisional Representative Team(s).
Men’s
The Tigers will be well represented in the AFL Canberra Divisional Representative team this week when they take on the NSW Indigenous Representative team at Blacktown On Saturday.
There are three representative fixture matches being played on Saturday from which a team will be selected to represent NSW / ACT at the Australian Country Championships to be held in Wagga on 19 – 22 July.
Players from the Tigers selected for this weekends games include Premiership Players: Casey Walsh, Ben Walsh, Sean Kelly – New Recruit Chase Grintell (emergency) and Under 18 Stars Mitch Price & Toby Yeates.
Any player who had played one NEAFL game was ineligible to be selected.
Ladies
In addition to the men’s games being played the ACT Representative Ladies Team will play Game 2 of a State of Origin series against NSW.
The ACT Team are currently 1 up in the Three game series and a win this Saturday will win the series with the last game in Canberra on Sunday 15th.
Selected from the Tigerettes for this match are: Melissa Hurley, Hannah Dunn, Tegan Tisma, Lani Watson and Jacinta Froud (emergency).
Both teams will be coached by the Tigers Division 1 Coach / NEAFL Assistant Coach Adrian Pavese with Judy Mustard attending as one of the Sports Medicine Trainers.
