Tigers legend Bob Griffin celebrates club’s 90th anniversary

His first season with the Queanbeyan Tigers coincided with winning a premiership in 1956.

And ever since then, the Tigers have always been close to the heart of club legend Bob Griffin.

Griffin is part of the intrinsic fabric of the Tigers, who celebrate their 90th anniversary at a gala function at the Canberra Southern Cross Club in Woden next Saturday night.

A North East Australian Football League match with the Belconnen Magpies at Dairy Farmers Park next Saturday will also be part of the festivities.

The Queanbeyan Tigers 90 Year Gala Dinner will be held on Saturday, May 31 at the Canberra Southern Cross Club, Woden, from 6.30pm. Hawthorn premiership winner and Brownlow Medallist Robert DiPierdomenico will be the guest presenter. Tickets are $110 per person.
