The Tigers have had strong numbers for all grades pre season and now in coming weeks will prepare for the opening games on 5 April with trial matches over the weekends 8/9 March and 22/23 March.
New Players Training
Due to ground and grandstand renovations at Dairy Farmers Park the two trial matches will be conducted out of town with the first being against the powerful Albury Tigers combination on Saturday 8 March followed by a Players Camp at the Klemke Ranch in Henty that evening.
Two trial matches will be conducted on the day – the first commencing at 1.00pm followed by the main trial at 3.00pm. The games will be played at the following venue:
Venue is Wodonga Secondary College, 69 Woodland Street, Wodonga
A function for all players / officials and supporters will be held in the Albury Tigers Social rooms following the matches.
22 March
The Club then travels down the Hume Highway again to Wagga for trial games against North Albury on Saturday 22 March – Venue to be advised.
15 March
In between the Club is organising a massive working bee on 15 March at Dairy Farmers Park to tidy up current renovations taking place on the grandstand and the new visitors change rooms. This along with a general cleanup of the outer ground and surrounding areas. The working bee will take place from 8.00am with a breakfast BBQ being available.
Albury Tigers
The trial match against Albury Tigers will see a number of new faces along with a host of younger players progressing from the Tigers Under 18 Grade Grand Final team of 2013. Unfortunately quite a number of players will not be making the journey to Albury due to varying reasons but two strong squads are expected to represent the Club.
The host Club has participated in the last 5 Ovens and Murray league Grand Finals and is highly regarded as one of the best football clubs in country Victoria / NSW.
