
Number 1 Draft Choice to Play Against The Tigers
The GWS GIANTS will release their Number 1 AFL 2011 Draft selection this Saturday when they take on the undefeated Queanbeyan Tigers at Blacktown International Sportsground at 1.45pm.
Jonathan Patton is about to resume playing on Saturday for the first time since having revolutionary knee surgery in Sweden in January.
Patton suffered from patellar tendinopathy in his left knee (also known as jumper’s knee). The imposing youngster (197cm, 102 kg) will more than likely play for approx half a game against the Tigers.
He is expected to play in the GIANTS NEAFL team for about three or four weeks before making his debut in their senior grade team.
The Tigers will also have to contend with former Carlton player Setanta O’Haipin who returned to the footy field last week after suffering off season injuries since joining the new Sydney based football club.
Coming into the Tigers line-up this week will be Matthew Beckmans who missed last weeks win over Eastlake.
The former Sydney Swans Reserves player takes Daniel Campbell position in the Tigers forward line after the dynamic youngster injured a shoulder in last weeks encounter.
Promising youngsters from the Tigers Under 18 Rising Stars team Stephen Camp and Kieren Shea have also been named in the Tigers squad for Saturdays match.

Saturday: Tigerettes v Eastlake at 10.00am – Football Park Sunday: Under 18 Grade v Ainslie at 9.30am – Ainslie Oval AFL Canberra Division 1 v Belconnen at 11.30am – Jamison Oval
