The Tigers Rising Stars travelled to Amaroo Oval on Sunday morning for an early start against the Gungahlin Jets. The youngsters took some time to find their feet and accuracy with 5.12 to 1.0 on the board at half time.
It was a different team after the break piling on 11. 2 to just 1 point to run out comfortable victors 16.14 (110) to 1.1 (7).
Overall it was a strong effort with quite a number of players unavailable for the match including a late call up for Tim Shea to the GWS GIANTS Reserve Grade team.
Jackson Monck continues his strong form of recent weeks and as a youngster has plenty of potential. His inclusion in the team is short lived as he is required to play with the St Edmunds College Under 17 Grade team once that competition commences.
Brandon Lagana continues to impress with his uncanny ability to read the play and is sure to come under the eye of senior grade selectors at some stage in the near future. Up forward Sam Adams presents a large frame to aim at posting another four goals to his credit. Sea Hawks representative Liam Brogan is another with a large body and he uses this with the experience of playing with the senior grade Batemans Bay team. Other notable best players were Joshua Gibbs. Jeramey Edwards and Aaron Palazzo.
