A wonderful woman who will never be forgotten – RIP Nola Imrie
It is with deep sadness that we advise our Tigers Family of the sad passing of Life Member Mrs Nola Imrie. Nola passed away peacefully on Monday morning 11 March at Broulee on the South Coast where she had resided since the early eighties when moving with her late husband Dave.
The Imrie family is synonymous with the Tigers. Dave having been president of both the Football Committee and the Licensed Club.
Sons Colin and Alan also held roles on the Licensed Club Board and the Football Committee, Col being the current Vice Chairman of the Football Committee. Both are Wall of Fame inductees along with Dave.

The late and great Dave Imrie!
Nola served on many committees and received Life Membership of the Tigers in 1971 in recognition of her efforts. Dave passed away on 16 March 2017. Dave’s contribution to the establishment of Australian Football in Queanbeyan was recognised in 1983 with Life Membership of QAFC Ltd (the Licensed Club) and by the National Football League in 1982 with the presentation of a Merit Award – then the highest honour that could be bestowed on an individual in our game. In recognition of his contribution to the Licensed Club the main bar area in the Club is named the Dave Imrie Bar.
Nola will be remembered for her wonderful love of her family, her beautiful caring nature and her support of her many valued and respected friends around Australia. She was an avid follower of the Tigers Club and that of her beloved Sydney Swans.
It is intended to have a private family gathering on Monday 18 March to farewell the matriarch of the Imrie Family with a celebration of her life being acknowledged at a time on that day where a candle can be lit and a toast to her life made.
The Family would like to do this at a particular time (to be advised) so as they could to invite all of those friends and relations in the extended family who loved Nola so much, to stop wherever they are in Australia (or the world) and do this exact same thing.
“This way we will have a myriad of groups, families etc. all collectively thinking of and toasting our beautiful Nan/Mum/Aunt/special friend” said son-in-law Mark Berry.
Nola was the dearly loved wife of Dave (deceased) a; mother and mother in-law of Colin & Wendy, Alan & Alison, Helen (dec), Bruce (dec), Sue and Mark – and honorary son Ron (Chook); grandmother of Michael & Monica, Stephen & Kat, Megan & Adam, Joanna & Emma and Grace; and great grandmother to Noah, Thomas, Eli, London, Hendrix, Matilda and Lola.
