Unfortunately, QPRC have been unable to mow the surrounds of the ground due to the enormous workload around the Palerang Region from the recent rains.

Volunteers of the club have been assisting maintain the facility over the summer months even to the extent that the Clubs General Manager Adrian Pavese and Captain Josh Bryce have occasionally been mowing the playing field with small ride on mowers since last October.

To further assist QPRC maintain the facility, the footy club through a generous loan from its Licensed Club have purchased a large mower. This will provide the facility with excellent ground preparation for matches throughout the season.

The Club has a long list of works to be completed at the working bee on Saturday, 19th February from 8am to provide participants and visitors attending the inaugural AFLW preseason carnival the best possible experience when attending the following weekend.

All players, volunteers and indeed supporters are more than welcome to assist with the working bee which is expected to cover 4 hours on the Saturday morning.

After 111 1st Grade games and four premierships, tigers women's player Megan Godfrey has decided to hang up the boots after a stellar career with the Tigerettes.

What an addition Megan has been to the Tigers Club since donning the black and gold in 2014 both on and off the playing arena.

“Godders” has been instrumental in maintaining the excellent culture that exists within the Tigerettes and indeed throughout the organisation.

A dominant player on the field, she has been equally impressive off the field with her inclusion on the Tigers Football Board of Directors.

This is addition to being a member of the Tigers Social Committee and assisting with the junior development pathway of young Tigerettes from Junior footy into the senior ranks.

Megan was a member of Division 2 premierships in 2014 & 2015 and was there when the Tigerettes broke through for their first ever 1st Grade Premiership in 2017.

Megan played in the 2018 grand final and then winning another 1st Grade title in 2019. A further 1st Grade grand final went missing in 2020 when on game day Megan withdrew from the team due to illness.

In notifying club teammates, Megan indicted her love for the Tigerettes, thanked her respective coaches over the years and in “Godders” way said that “she had gained endless friendships and became a better person for her experience”.

There was a slight indication that the boots may still be part of her apparel when attending games as the Tigerettes Development / Forward Coach when the word “think” was mentioned when saying “it was time to hang up the boots”.

Let’s hope so, for her on field experience, enthusiasm and communication will be missed if that’s not the case. In the meantime, Megan Godfrey - thank you from everyone involved right through the Women’s and Men’s senior ranks. You are indeed a champion person, and we look forward to having you around on match days for many years to come.
