One thing the Junior Club are certain about for the 2022 football season is that National Capital Toyota will be sponsoring the Junior Tigers for the 6th year in a row as our Principle Sponsor.

2022 AFLW Patches Asphalt Queanbeyan Cup Tournament!

The Queanbeyan Tigers extends an invitation to any and all Women’s teams across the country to enter a new Preseason Tournament with $8,000.00 worth of prize money which is set for February 2022.

All Tournament and nomination details are in the flyer at the end of this article and within the AFLW Cup Tab on our Tigers website!

The Tigers have identified that the women’s space continues to be the fastest growing part of the game and wanted to showcase female AFL in our region with a new Preseason Round Robin tournament.

It will be a 15 a side tournament (clubs can have squads of up to 22), 2 x 15min halves pool games with a minimum 3 pool games per team pending nominations and more rules i.e. team sheets, last touch out of bounds etc. will be advised closer to the event.

What does you nomination fee cover:

• Umpires for the tournament

• ground hire

• lights for night pool games

• cleaning of the facility post games.

• match day physio on hand for all teams to access

• prize money

• If clubs enter two squads then the nomination fees are reduced for these clubs.

We are also looking for Corporate support for this Tournament so if you would like to be involved please contact Adrian on 0429 913 436 to discuss packages.

We wanted to get this out ASAP as we know clubs are organising their preseason schedules and we hope this new initiative is a positive one and you support the event by nominating a team.
