Last Friday night then into Saturday the Tigers held their player camp in preparation for the 2020 season. Well over 60 men’s players and 40 Women’s players along with 20 plus volunteers

turned out for this years camp.
Unlike previous years, the Tigers Coaches opted to put the players through their normal Fitness and Training Drills from the current preseason over a 5 hour period as to gain another chance to implement styles of play and standards.
The men held their Chalk and Talk Leadership session with Scott Minchin on the Friday night followed by the players voting for their 2020 Leadership Group. Josh Bryce was returned as Captain for the 4th year with Tyler Collins voted in for his second year as Vice Captain.
To round out the Senior Men’s Leadership Group, Alex Page and Jono Bowyer were voted into the group for the 1st time.
In the Women’s space, their Leadership Group will be announced closer to the season start.
Saturday the players cracked in with most players racking up 20 plus kms on their GPS in a grueling session. It was a wonderful effort by the entire group as they push themselves to their limits.
Later that evening the playing group, volunteers, club supporters and others came together at the Tigers Club for the drawing of the Reverse Draw. Over 180 people enjoyed a fun afternoon where the tickets were drawn out 50 at a time before the last ticket was declared the winner.

A big thank you to everyone who bought and sold tickets, this is an important early season function for the club both for the fundraising and social get together.

We now move into the Working Bee weekend (Sat 29th 8am) at Allinsure and with everything happening at the ground right now all hands are welcomed followed by full Intra Club Games starting with the Men on Tuesday 3rd March followed by the Women Thursday 5th.
The Club then welcomes traveling teams to Allinsure over the weekends of the 14th & 21st March for Trial Games with details to follow soon.
