2023 Premiership Defense in Full Swing!

Tigers Announce 1st Grade Captains, Assistant and High Performance Coaches for 2023.

The Queanbeyan Tigers have wasted no time in planning and preparing their Premiership Defense of their 1st Grade Titles and building their entire Men & Women's Programs announcing next years Club Captains and remaining Coaching Staff for 2023.

Moving to the next step in his coaching aspirations, the men's 2 time Premiership Captain Josh Bryce has handed over the reigns after 6 years at the helm. Also fresh off this years Women's title, Kate McGrath will also be stepping down as Premiership Captain for next year.

The club thanks both players for their dedication to the role and leading the respective programs to a new era, you have certainly had an incredible impact as captains and the club is in a fantastic position through your leadership.

The club is thrilled to announce that Tyler Collins and Jayde Hamilton are the 2023 First Grade Captains of the Men's & Women's programs.

Both players have been standout young leaders of the club over the past couple of years and these appointments will begin the next chapter of the clubs history leading into the 100th Birthday celebrations in 2024.

Following this announcement is the completion of the 2023 Coaching Staff for all grades up to the 1st Grade Men who have a couple of more appointments to make in the coming weeks.

In the Women's, we welcome Ainslie Premiership Player Damien Bowles into our coaching structure while star player Jessica Stramandinoli will also take on a coaching placement next year. 2022 Premiership Assistants Shaun Manning and Megan Godfrey will continue in their roles with 2022 Reserves Coach Ken Sissons taking on a Development Role for the group.

Scott Taylor will be the Rising Stars Women's Coach and Senior Match Day Assistant.

While in the Men's space and after his plans to move changed, 2022 Reserves Coach Tim Hull will assist Dean Ross in the Reserve Grade with other placements hopefully announced soon.

In the Rising Stars, the 2022 combination of former 1st Grade Premierships players Rod Gisik, Michael Kennedy, Steve West and Guy Mertz will continue in their roles in assisting Jason Gilbert in 2023.

It is also pleasing to announce that extra investment has been made to the club's High Performance and Injury Management Programs for 2023 and beyond. The club has recently signed on Matrix Physio led by Dan Fasch for the next 3 years which will take the injury management of our players to another level.
