The Tigerettes have recorded back to back wins with a thumping 68 point win over ADFA under lights at DFP.
The game was over as a contest after an outstanding first term as the Tigerettes midfield completely dominated and their forwards were able to retain some space and structure and kick six goals for the term – an amazing effort considering the teams well documented struggle to score this season.
After quarter time the Tigerettes had to contend with two types of floods, one coming from the sky and the other coming from an ADFA team pushing several players back.
The result was a pack of 30+ players camped in the Tigerettes forward 50 for the rest of the evening.
For the second time in the space of five days Hurls was best on ground and Hannah and Lani were multiple goal kickers.
However the night belonged to Tigerettes skipper Jacinta Froud (Splinta) who celebrated her 100th game in style with her usual busy performance almost capped off late by what would have been a very fitting goal had an ADFA opponent not got a finger nail to the ball of Splinta’s boot.
Splinta was chaired off the ground by her team mates before joining them in singing the club songs in the familiar home sheds of DFP.
Having dispatched the leagues two strugglers the Tigerettes now know the challenge is to knock off one of the six teams above them on the ladder.
The next chance will come against fifth placed Tuggeranong at Greenway at noon on Saturday 2 June.
