Decorated Tigerette wants to go out with a Bang!

Ella Shea (nee Ross) calls time on playing career.

Not many players can claim their last game was a Premiership but don't tell Ella Shea that as she looks to push her team over line against Ainslie on Saturday and hopefully claim her 5th Premiership Medal.

After 8 years and 105 1st Grade Games with the Tigers, Ella will call time on her playing career following this Saturday's Grand Final and will be recognised as one of the most decorated Tigerettes in our short history.

Ella is one of 7 Tigerettes to play 100 1st Grade games joining fellow players Lani Watson (142), Hannah Dunn (134), Kristen Argent (nee Turner) (122), Megan Godfrey (112), Carly Swan (nee Res) (111) and Lauren Flakelar (105).

Ella would have chalked up many more games over the years, however her high standards led her to be drafted to the GWS GIANTS AFLW team in 2017 where she played 8 games followed by 14 games at the Richmond Tigers VFLW team in 2018.

Ella has achieved success at the highest level available with the Tigers with two 2nd Division Premierships 2014 & 2015 and two 1st Grade Premiership in 2017 & 2019.

She has a Tigerette record of 4 Club Best and Fairest awards 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 and sits equal 2nd in the Tigers all time Best & Fairest winners behind Tony Wynd (5) and equal with James Black and Jack McNamara at 4.

"A wonderful achievement"

We congratulate Ella on a wonderful career and look forward to seeing what comes next for our one of our most loved and respected Tigerettes.
