Hamilton Sisters Create Tigers Sibling History!

It took 30 years for the club to have another trio of siblings play together in a club match and it will now happen twice in the matter of three weeks!

On the back of the Shea brothers running out together 3 weeks ago in reserve grade game and as mentioned in their recent article, the lads joined the Williams brothers (5) of the 30s & 40s followed by Schow brothers of the 50s/60s, then came the Hopkins brothers in the late 70s, and finally the Wynd brothers of the 80s & 90s had 3 plus brothers all wear the famous yellow and black and play in the same team.

This week marks another huge historical moment for the Tigers when for the first time in the clubs history we will have three sisters running out together in the same team.

Alexia, Jayde and Cynthia Hamilton with become our first ever female siblings to play in the same senior game team when the 3 girls run out tomorrow afternoon in the 1st Grade match against Eastlake.

What could be even more exciting is the fact eldest Hamilton sister Chelsey is back playing in 2021 and if her form continues to gain strength we could see all 4 girls run out together - stay tuned!

Alexia (34 1st Grade games) 2019 1st Grade Premiership player.

Lexi has been a stand out since joining the Tigers having played in the 2019 1st Grade Premiership which then led to her being drafted to the Gold Coast Suns in 2020. More recently, Lexi has been starring for North Melbourne VFLW team in this years VFLW competition and has returned home this weekend with the games called off.

Jayde (35 1st Grade games) 2019 1st Grade Premiership player.

Winning a senior premiership at only 17 years of age, Jayde has also been involved with the North Melbourne VFLW team in 2021 playing 6 games thus far. Jayde has also excelled with the NSW/ACT U18s Rams & Eastern Allies and continues to push for that elusive draft spot.

Cynthia (5 1st Grade games) 2021 Eastern Allies Player of the Carnival.

At just 17, Cynthia is beginning her senior Tigers career following an outstanding stint in the junior grades. This talented player has already gained the attention of the higher levels and hopefully will be well and truly in the AFLW draft mix was age eligible.
