Hard Day at the Office! Congratulations Hannah Dunn.

The Tigerettes were given a football lesson from reigning and four-time premiers Tuggeranong at Football Park on Sunday.

There were some highlights for the Tigerettes with Tracey Mosely, playing in just her third game of football, was given the huge task of playing on Tuggeranong star centre half forward and performed admirably.

Tegan Tisma was also given a big job as a defensive midfielder and the promising young midfielder learned a valuable lesson in what it will take to become an elite midfielder in this competition. Bianca Solar gave everything at centre half forward and, despite giving away a few free kicks, showed her best form for the season.

Siau Goh showed her toughness and showed up her younger team mates playing through injury to be one of the better players on the day (the Tigerettes did not have a bench after midfielder Tess Kolaric was taken to hospital at quarter time).

The team gets the chance to bounce back quickly when it takes on ADFA in its first home game for the season at Town Park. Match starts at 10am on Sunday 22 May.

QBNs Hannah Dunn (left) has been selected in the ACT Women's Rep Team for the 2011 National Championships.

The Queanbeyan Tigers Football Club would like to congratulate Hannah Dunn for being selected in the ACT Women’s Rep team that will compete in the 2011 National Championships in Adelaide between June 5 – 12.

This is a great effort by Hannah who only started playing last year in the Tigerettes first season in the AFL Canberra Women’s Competition and has shown great improvement. She also represented the ACT in the Tri Series Challenge along with Fran Langi in 2010.

The newest Women’s Team in AFL Canberra is certainly heading in the right direction and with such players as Hannah, Tegan Tisma, Tracey Mosely, Dani Louis to name a few the team is certain to have long and sustained success in the coming years.
