Milestone Achievements Keep Rocking On
Two milestone achievements highlight Tiger Footy this weekend with Matt Liddle due to play his 150th 1st Grade Match while Lani Watson reaches the 50 Game mark with the Tigerettes.
The Tigers NEAFL team take on the might of Ainslie on Saturday at the Alan Ray Oval from 2.00pm. Other matches include the following:
AFL Canberra 1st Grade Tigers v Eastlake at Manuka on Saturday from 2.30pm
Tigers Rising Stars Under 18 grade team v Eastlake at Manuka Oval on Saturday at 9.30am
Tigerettes v ANU at ANU on Saturday at 10.00am
Matt has enjoyed a long journey with the Tigers since joining the Club from St Edmunds in 2003 and has been a regular senior grade player ever since. Unfortunately serious injuries have restricted further milestone appearances – one such injury keeping him from selection in the 2012 NEAFL Premiership team.
“Lids” is one of the most popular players in the Tigers Organisation and is well known for his friendly nature . He is enjoying a wonderful season thus far and has posted a number of goals this season.
Congratulations Matt on this milestone achievement which will be recognised at the Tigers 100 club function on 23 August.
Lani Watson has played nearly all of the games of the Tigerettes have featured in since the teams inception four years ago and will play her 50th game against ANU on Saturday at 10.00am.
Lani has been a regular ACT Representative player in recent years and is known for her determination and friendly nature around the Club.
