Three Senior Grades in Grand Finals

This weekend our First Grade, Rising Stars and Women’s teams all compete in their grand finals.

The First Grade side kick off Saturday for the Tigers with a rematch of last fortnight’s semi-final when they take on Ainslie at 4.00pm. Poor kicking by the Tigers in the early part of the semi-final kept Ainslie in the game, while Ainslie themselves displayed poor kicking in the preliminary final win over Eastlake, at one stage registering 1.13. The grand final promises to be an entertaining tussle between these two rivals.

In the later game, the Rising Stars also take on Ainslie, also in a replay of their semi-final after Ainslie cruised past Marist in the preliminary final. The game, to be played under lights at 6.30pm will see many quality young players in both teams and also promises to be a great game.

Both men’s games above will be played at Gungahlin Town Centre Oval, while on Sunday the Tigerettes, fresh from their own weekend off, will take on Molonglo at 12 noon at Greenway Oval. The girls are looking for back-to-back premierships on the Women’s Division 2.

Make sure you don the black and gold and get along to support our boys and girls.

First Grade on Saturday, 13 September @ 4:00pm vs Ainslie at Gungahlin Town Centre Oval

Rising Stars on Saturday, 13 September @ 6:30pm vs Ainslie at Gungahlin Town Centre Oval

Tigerettes on Sunday, 14 September @ 12:00 noon vs Molonglo at Greenway Oval

It would be great to have as many supporters and family at the games as possible. Come along wearing plenty of black and gold and try to sit together in the grandstand to show your support. We may even have a Tigers marquee, so keep an eye out for the black and gold!

Final 2014 training session

All three grades have their final training sessions on Thursday 11 Sept in preparation for their grand finals. The Rising Stars will finish training at 6.00pm before the First Grade and Women head out on the track. Why not come down to support the teams, and join a BBQ with a few drinks. Lets send the boys and girls into their grand finals knowing we are all behind them.
