Tigers Confirm 1st Grade Coaches for 2023

With 2022 still firmly on the agenda, the club was keen to secure the Head Coaching roles for both squads ASAP so that planning, retention and recruitment can commence immediately.

The Queanbeyan Tigers Football Club are thrilled to announce that both Kade Klemke and Adrian Pavese will continue as 1st Grade Coaches in 2023 albeit in different roles.

The highly regarded player / coach Kade Klemke will continue in the current role however will take on the full Head Coach duties of the men's team from 2023.

Kade's wealth of knowledge and passion for the players will see this group continue to grow and hopefully gain some more success in the years to come.

Klemke has an outstanding record for the club as both a player and coach and he will look to build his new coaching team around him leading into next year.

The successful Co-Coaching combination from the past two years will separate in 2023 as the club announces that Adrian Pavese will move into the Head Coaching position of the Tigerettes following the news that current coach Chris Clifton will be stepping down at the end of the season.

"To be able to secure both Kade and Pav for 2023 is huge for the club and while they disband as a unit, I am sure both men will continue to lean on each other as our men and women's programs continue to drive forward" Chairman Ron Fowlie said.

"We are disappointed to lose someone like Chris Clifton (who is being posted) and we will be forever grateful for what he has done for the club in both the RS and Women's space over the past 7 years"

"Pav was going to retire from coaching at the end of the season after 31 years but to have someone with his outstanding record in both male and female coaching was too hard to let go and thankfully he agreed to continue" he added.

Pavese has already appointed his first assistant coach for next year securing Tigerette star Jessica Stramandinoli as the forward line Coach. Like Kade, Pavese will look to build the rest of his coaching team in the coming weeks and will seek out the current Reserves Coach Ken Sissons and 1st Grade Assistant Shaun Manning intentions.

Cliffo to say goodbye at season's end!

After 7 seasons and countless hours, Chris Clifton will say goodbye at seasons end after being posted to Victoria for the next 2 years.

Cliffo's impression has certainly been left on the club with his dedication and passion for the players and footy club second to none.

He has had success in the Rising Stars program guiding the young cubs to 2 Grand Finals and now having many players he coached playing in the senior grades.

Chris then made the switch into the women's program and he is a 1st Grade Premiership Coach with the Tigerettes leading the team to the 2019 Flag and another Grand Final appearance in 2020.

We wish Chris all the best and hopefully will see him back in the Yellow & Black again!
