An energetic group of club associates worked tirelessly at the Club’s annual working bee held 19th February in final preparations for the ground and surrounding facilities to be ready for the Queanbeyan AFLW Cup to be held the next weekend.

Volunteers worked during recent weeks to bring the ground up to scratch which was complimented last Saturday with over 30 people attending the working bee to add some finishing touches.

Huge thank you to all those in attendance and for the manner in which everyone combined to achieve excellent results which including mowing, fence cleaning, hedge trimming, painting, electrical work, edging, cleaning of all wet areas, grandstand, coaches’ boxes etc, canteen and growlers area and other miscellaneous items.

The ground and facility looked a treat for all the visiting teams from Newcastle, Bathurst, Tathra, Batemans Bay, Sydney and locally with the compliments of our facility from our visitors being very humbling.

Also a huge thank you to Rob Sheffield and the Sports Ground team from Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council who also put in some big yards in helping to get Aulich Park looking so good.

Our new Mayor Kenrick Winchester attended the Friday evening of the carnival and our Tigers Season Launch, made many comments on what a fantastic AFL facility we have in our QPRC area.
