Hi there, am I excited? You bet ya!
After 3 months of uncertainty and shutdown Tigers footy is back! We are thrilled to advise all of our Tigers Family, that we will be playing for an AFL Canberra Premiership in 2020 in all grades commencing at home on the 18th July.
The league are finalising our schedule as we speak and as soon as it is released we will update you all ASAP.
Our footy club will have to adjust to the new world of Covid protocols for match day’s and that’s ok, as long as we can play footy we are willing to do what it takes to keep our players, volunteers and supporters safe.
We will get the chance to practice these protocols when we welcome Marist 18’s on the Friday 3rd July followed by Tuggeranong Valley FC and Inner West Magpies to Allinsure Park on July 4th for a series of practice games – details attached.
This is the news we have been waiting for and you can not imagine how much this means to so many that we can bring our tiger family back together again.
On behalf of everyone at the Tigers, we can’t thank you all enough for your patience, support and belief in our club. It has made this very difficult period a lot easier knowing you have our back, it’s truly valued and appreciated.
I didn’t think we would get the chance to say this in 2020 but now we can – see you at the footy!
